Abstract

The validity of an act of worship in Islam is closely related to the intention. Intention has become a condition in every worship. Intention occupies a very important position in worship because the validity of a worship is closely related to intention regardless of whether the intention is a condition or pillar. This discussion uses a library research method where the opinions of fiqh scholars regarding the issues raised will be studied comparatively along with their respective arguments. The results of this study are that the existence of intentions in worship is very important because it determines the validity of a charity, making the fiqh scholars have different opinions regarding whether the intention in worship is a condition or as a pillar. said that intention is a condition because a required action (Masyrt) is invalid if the condition is not fulfilled, namely intention. Others state intention as a pillar, because the intention must go hand in hand when starting a worship as if it were part of the worship.
